Hey everyone please vote for Eric Acosta’s show Welcome to Litleton, his comedy central test pilot. It’s in the final four and it needs your help to put him over the top. Go to http://testpilots.atomfilms.com. You can vote once per day until August 3rd. And you should because it, like, um, keeps the doctor away or something.

i have to type fast because i’m headed off to the dc comedy festival. okay truth be told i’m going to play poker and then i need to pack and then i’m headed to the dc comedy festival. but i don’t want to lose too many blinds, so please excuse the horrific grammar the tpyos (get it?) and the nonsensical-ness of this entry. BUT I NEED TO TELL YOU HOW GREAT OF A SHOW WE JUST HAD!

Sorry about the caps (not really). This saturday’s effinfunny show with 8, count them 8, killer comics was completely surreal. we totally jam packed the Empty Stage Theatre with people showing up out of the woodwork. we only sold 7 tickets presale through the site but we totally over-filled that place. anyone showing up even 10 minutes late we had to turn away. we had folks on the aisles, sitting at the foot of the tripods, cramming our sound guy up in the booth, sitting on the comic knees and inside of my vagina (last two had some hyperbole). Point is, if you’re planning on coming to the May show, which you should, you need to get tickets online or at least show up a wee bit early. like 10 minutes early and BUY TIX right when you get there for you and any other friends. and then as soon as the doors open go save seats.

anyway, about the comics. holy. effin. crap. they were up and down the board stellar. no one seemed outmatched by the energy that was in the air, and let me tell you there was energy in the air. the frickin show must of had red bull. we had two dudes come in at the last second from Chicago from blerds.com to fill in for the Sklar brothers who unfortunately had to cancel. But they were great. Pat Brice and CJ Sullivan bringin some windy city gruff to our esteemed effinfunny e-show (ooh, alliterative). Dan Mintz absolutely destroyed. Seriously, I’ve never seen anything like it. The rest of the comics seemed in awe. He didn’t just kill, he devestated. The audience was dying laughing– at his SETUPS.

Jimmy Dore, Greg Warren were of course pros to the nth degree and hilarious. Lizzy Cooperman was insane and high energy. I didn’t catch Melinda Hill because I was getting more beer for the too full crowd, but I’ve seen her before and know she’s a champ. Oh and Eric Acosta seriously wowed me. I mean, I knew what he can do from channel101.com but he seemed so polished. Like Ellen Degeneres, but a guy (just kidding, eric. people always say that about him).

anyway, it was a killer show. i can’t wait to dig in and start editing. now i must go lose $10 at poker. i’ll post some pics soon and i’ll definitely be reporting from dc.
